Greetings,

This research shows that walking boosts cognitive performance for students in all grades, elementary through college.

Here are two important things I think about when I read this study:

1. Walking is an innate rhythmic movement that begins in toddlerhood and ideally continues through life as a means to boost health and brain power.

2. If we want our children to walk well--free of compensations--we have to help them build the foundation to walk properly.  For comfort, core strength, limb strength, posture and stamina the neurodevelopmental movements provide the foundation for walking!
